ROWLAND — Fans of festival food will enjoy the Rowland Springfest and Art Show today.
Held from 10 a.m until 4 p.m., the event will include food vendors with the always popular turkey legs, collard sandwiches, Boston butts, sandwiches, funnel cakes and more, according to Faye Carlyle, town finance officer.
Hosted by the town of Rowland, the festival will feature entertainment from Calvin Pee of 107.7 FM, Robeson Rockers, and various local singers and praise dancers.
“There will be music and dancing and we have a really good set of vendors,” Carlyle said. “There will be audience participation in the dancing. They do a lot of line dancing.”
There will also be children’s activities; arts and crafts on exhibit and for sale; as well as food and beverage concessions.
