CHARLOTTE (AP) — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer has been arrested and charged after an argument with a neighbor in Cabarrus County.
A news release from the police department said Officer Matthew Watts and the neighbor were both arrested by sheriff’s investigators Thursday.
Both people are charged with communicating threats.
Watts has been with the police department since 2002.
The sheriff’s department is handling the case. It was not known if Watts has an attorney.
WSOC-TV reported the argument was about a rooster the neighbor owns.
