Seeking “5 Guys Singing” cast

The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater and Kendrix Singletary Productions announce auditions for its popular “5 Guys Singing” musical revue. This exciting, live, musical production will feature five of the most talented local gentlemen in the area, as well as a support cast and host. “5 Guys Singing” is an energetic, multimedia production of sight and sound, covering songs from Broadway, Motown, gospel, pop, country and jazz.

Seeking:

Strong, leading male vocalists (tenors) - Artist must hold his own on stage, be able to learn and perform basic choreography. Stipend provided, experience dictates amount.

Host/Comedian - (male or female) with a large personality and natural comedic timing. Must be able to deliver a clean, funny, and family friendly comedic set, as well as guide the audience through a musical journey with style, ease, and humor. Improv skills a must! $100 stipend plus hotel accommodations for out-of-town talent.

Female back up singers/dancers – Vibrant, girl-next-door type. Must have strong rhythm, great smile and expressive eyes. $50 stipend provided.

5 Guys Singing” will be performed at The Carolina Civic Center Historic Theatre on June 29 and 30, 2012.

Tickets are $15 or $10 each for purchas of 10 or more at a time. Tickets can be purchased in person or by telephone with credit card or cash from 1 to 5 p.m. Mon. through Fri. through the administrative offices in the theatre’s second floor (enter on Fourth Street side), or by calling the Civic Center at 910-738-4339. Theater lobby box office opens for ticket sales one hour prior to performance.
