LUMBERTON — A Lumberton police officer, whose name has not been released, was shot and killed this morning near the Fayetteville Road Dairy Queen, The Robesonian has heard from several sources.
The sources, who did not wish to be identified, told The Robesonian that the officer, who was off duty, was shot while attempting to serve a warrant.
About 20 to 25 deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded, Robeson County Sherrif Kenneth Sealey said.
